Abstract Architecture Reference

During this next piece, I was tasked with choosing one form within an image of my choosing to repeat in abstract form. Pictured here is my original reference photo that I photographed at Windsor Castle while in the United Kingdom.

Abstract Architecture

For my design, I decided to isolate the smokestacks in the distance. Pictured above is a process shot of the final painting.

Above is the final piece, completed in acrylic paint and pen on a 14"x14" piece of illustration board with a 1" boarder. This piece was on display in Joliet Junior College's art gallery during the summer of 2022.

Unicorn Shield

For this project, I was given a small scale drawing in which I had to cartoon to a larger scale. Above is a process shot of the piece.

Here is a comparison of the reference photo to the final piece. It was completed using charcoal in a 3/4" to 1' scale.

Draped Curtain

Similar to the previous project, I was given a reference photo in which I had to scale upwards from 1" to 1'. Above is a comparison of the reference photo to the final piece. This was created using charcoal and white chalk.

Graphite Elephant

When creating this piece, an original image was placed on the board and I was tasked with re-creating it on a smaller scale. This piece was completed using graphite.
